Bergen Kjøtt 2024
Two textile works, both suspended from a metal structure, one mounted in a tree, the other on the fence by the dock, gently touching the water in rhythm with the tide.
At Kjøtt, I wanted to explore our expectations and the way we "look" within a space. By placing my work outside, I encouraged viewers to step inside, only to look back outside.
The textile originated from my ongoing exploration in the outdoor studio. I wanted to question whether a site-specific work could be recontextualized and placed in a different setting.
After the exhibition, I brought the pieces back to my studio, continuing the task.
